A timely post as Manheim Township's PA, 2035 Com Plan lists "fiscal sustainability " as a goal. Now, a new Fiscal Sustainability Committee is working to implement this goal. Your post accurately frames current Committee discussion to address a +-$7 million budget deficit - raise taxes, cut services, raise fees. Perhaps they will address the real issue - infrastructure maintenance and that growth doesn't pay for the services it generates (Ponzi scheme!). I'm working on a Financial Decoder for the Township in the hopes of having some influence on the Committee and elected Town Commissioners; that while important, it's more than just raising taxes and cutting services. Your post adds to the need to analyse land use patterns and the cost of growth. I will be sharing this post - thanks!

FYI - at last night’s Fiscal Sustainability Committee meeting, they recommended to the Township Commissioners for FY 27 - 10% property tax increase, 2-5 % budget cuts and fee increase. There is still a $6 million projected FY 27 deficit. Thanks.
